Three Looks with Laurinda... The Designer's Wardrobe

Going into a new decade as a 40-year-old woman, I've spent some time reflecting on the years gone by. My love for fashion has been a constant in my life – from running a vintage market stall to founding Collective Closets. So how am I dressing differently in this new era of my life?
When I'm not on full-time mum duty (which doesn't happen often), I want to look polished and elegant, but still very much me. In these outfits, I've fused together my cult classics – our Amani Culotte Pants, a leather jacket, comfortable sneakers – with pieces that give me that stylish flair. I want to feel beautiful, look put together and still feel like me. Find some of my high-rotation outfits below!

This look makes me feel like a boss, in all the best ways. While this is a more professional look, something about still feels so comfortable and relaxed. A good tee is a staple in my wardrobe, I always like to go a size up for an oversized look.

This is a great example of playing around with the proportions of your pieces. For a flirty evening look, I tied up this Jua Shirt Dress, added heels, a cute bag and my tried-and-true leather jacket. When I'm running errands and popping in and out of the store, I'll untie the dress and wear it long and layered over the same pants. Sneaker change is necessary.

If you can't already tell, layers are kind of my thing. I'm wearing the Jua Shirt Dress again (in oatmeal) – this time open and long, like a lightweight jacket. For playful proportions, I've added the Dada Reversible bomber over the top. In Melbourne weather, you always need an extra layer.
