Style Tips and Tricks with Issy McSwain

In celebration of our new collection, we’re asking fashionable people from our community (including members of the Collective Closets team) to style up some of their favourite pieces from our latest collection Uhalisi.
Our Style Series will showcase a diverse range of wardrobes, ages and body types, so you can find multiple ways to make Uhalisi work in the context of your life.

This week, we're exploring the wardrobe of Collective Closets' newest team member, Issy McSwain. As our retail assistant and social media coordinator, Issy is one of the lovely faces interacting with our customers in our West Melbourne store. As a lover of local fashion, Issy's wardrobe is an eclectic mix of basic blacks and colourful statement pieces.

For her first look, Issy went with our Akoamka Wrap Top and matching Utambulisho Skirt. "I love the Akoamka top because it flatters my waist and makes me feel sexy," Issyexplains. "And the Utambulisho Skirt because it's form-hugging but also long enough to be comfortable. I love that you can dress it up or down, like I did here with my favourite black boots."

For her second look, Issy went with her "number one" favourite Collective Closets its, the Kucheza dress. "I wear this nearly every day," she says. "I love how I can style the convertible neckline in so many different ways to create completely different looks."

Look three is all about elevated separates. Pairing her Sanamu V-Neck Top with our matching Urafiki High Waisted Pants, Issy takes her look to the next level with an essential unbuttoned trench, a simple updo and her trusty black boots.
